Golden?

I took a canvas, painted this picture on it...
Doesnt it look like that?
Well, I just created that effect, something which you do when the photo is not that great :) to make an interesting thing out of it.
I normally donot manipulate pictures, except for some minor adjustments like less than 5% of cropping, and brightness and contrast adjustments. This one, I was just playing around with some options, and I liked this effect.
Now its your turn to comment on how it is.

My adventures with scanning slides continues

So this is my latest update on my efforts...
After some calls to the local "one hour photo shops", one shop told that they do have a slide scanner, and can put the whole roll on a CD..
I was so happy that I felt that I have discovered something..
but once I went there, he looked at the roll and said, "oh this is not mounted"
I told him yes, go ahead and put it on a CD as you do for a negative..
then he said my scanner just takes mounted film and that will cost $0.75 per slide...

I had to come back without any option...
so my search continues...

hey some one here can scan the processed E6 film and put it on a CD(I am not looking for expensive high resultion scanning)
I miss Bangalore in this aspect, I could have got the whole film on a CD for Rs.150 (Even if it is low resolution)

Still searching, I have not given up hope as yet...

finally... but still not yet there...

Ok, finally I found this store which does real good E6 processing. That is a bit away from where I stay, but I might have travelled a similar distance to reach Brigade Road from Airport Road anyways...

And, believe some photos displayed there were really mind boggling...
Some big names like Galen Rowell's works were displayed there(They are some of their customers) Anyway, processing is there, pictures seem to be ok, but to show them I have to get them scanned elsewhere, they donot have low resolution scanners, only large drum scanners and I guess for each picture they charge > $2(I donot remember that exactly)

Moral of the story is that I have to turn to digital ASAP, to reduce costs and turn around time to see my pictures...

So hang on there guys till I get my pictures scanned and show them..

Where can I get my slides processed?

I am caught with a new dilemma now. Where to get the slide processed. During lunch today I went to a popular camera store and they told me that they can give me back the slide on 2 weeks. Because they donot do E6 processing in store and they send it to one central location and get it done.
So I googled and found a local store which can do that and give me in 24 hrs. But that guy closes down at 5:30 PM. So couldnt make it today.

I got slightly busy with work etc. which kept me away from blogging for a while.
Watch out this space for some new photographs to come...
