Kite? Eagle? I am not sure.. I have a few Ids in mind, not sure though. Honey Buzzard, Short-toed Snake eagle are two suspects. This is my first attempt at trying to identify a bird, or for that matter trying to photograph a bird. This one was easy. I allowed me to get very close. You can imagine, how close I am, with my 200 mm lens... 
Nice one here srikanth! real good that you could get so close! i am real bad with birds so i wont even try to guess what this one is! but i liked the pic!

Sudarshan, this is at the lake near Cipla on Hoskote Road, and the previous photo, it looks very similar to Nish' because we were there on the same day same time :)

Not too sure, but it can be a Brahmni kite too. Most likely not a OHB (the head isn't that narrow). The upper wing is so dark, it is hard to conclusively call it a Brahmni. Do you have any other shot (a different angle)?
