we took from opposite sides. if you see the stick on which that creature is sitting is on two opposite sides, so the background colour made the difference.
I checked both snaps... you are right... background makes a lot of difference. Did you do any digital processing of the snap? Nevertheless, great snap!

absolutely no digital manipulation. no cropping either, other than putting my name on it..

Right; and because of the background, the colors seems to be richer.
